A real estate agent since 1976, Fred Wikkeling has seen the industry change in ways he could never have imagined. Sophisticated CRM software has long replaced carbon paper, and the once average $30,000 home has paved the way for million-dollar properties. But one thing has remained constant — Fred’s first-rate service in one of the most prolific real estate markets in the world.
Fred has been a proud resident of San Jose since 1972, when he attended San Jose State University on a track scholarship. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, which gives him a thorough understanding of the correlation between the real estate market and finance. Fred was inspired to earn his real estate license after one of his colleagues at the San Jose Mercury News had. Over the next several years, he added mortgage loan officer and real estate broker to his résumé. He then founded and managed a mortgage company for almost two decades. Fred has since received the prestigious title, “REALTOR® Emeritus,” a designation awarded by the National Association of Realtors® to those who have held membership for a cumulative period of 40 years.
Fred’s love of real estate is quite apparent, as he devotes a large part of his personal life to it as well, which includes hosting first-time homebuyer workshops for Project Sentinel. Fred is also a certified instructor for the Napoleon Hill Foundation, which is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to making the world a better place, and for Personality Insights, which is the number-one distributor for personality assessments and education and reflects Fred’s interest in patterns of human communication and interaction. Fred has also added the achievement of author to his resume with his inspirational and motivational book, Look up, See the Difference.
